First Visit
Your first visit is always a consultation. This is a relaxed, informative appointment where Dr. Michael Piccione will review your concerns, evaluate your condition, and walk you through your treatment options so you can make confident, informed decisions.
We do not rush patients into procedures. Our goal is for you to fully understand your diagnosis and feel comfortable with the plan before moving forward.
As part of your visit, we take our own in-office 3D CBCT scan when needed. This advanced imaging allows us to see your anatomy clearly and safely, giving Dr. Piccione the most accurate information to plan your care — especially for dental implants, extractions, and complex cases.
What to Bring
Please bring the following to your consultation:
-
Your referral slip (if provided by your dentist)
-
A list of current medications
-
Your dental or medical insurance information
If you have had X-rays taken by another office, you may ask them to send them to us. However, most patients will not need to bring anything — we typically capture the images we need here in our office.
For Patients Having IV Sedation
If IV sedation is planned for a future procedure, a pre-operative consultation and medical review is required. You will be given clear instructions before your surgery, including when to stop eating or drinking and how to prepare safely.
You will also need a responsible adult to bring you to your appointment and drive you home afterward.
Your Comfort Comes First
We understand that many patients feel nervous about oral surgery. Dr. Piccione and our team take extra time to explain everything, answer questions, and make sure you feel calm, supported, and in control throughout the process.
Your first visit is simply about getting to know you — and helping you feel confident about what comes next.
